When the Going Gets Tough-Don't Give Up!

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing." - Adidas Each and every one of us in the industry of sales and marketing-be it online or off-have experienced the temporary setbacks of frustration, dissapointment, fears and discouragement. The key is not to quit! There will be dream stealers and nay sayers that flock to us daily for the career path that we have chosen that is not the "easy way out". We made the decision, for whatever reason, to determine our own financial destiny-to not trade time for dollars but effort for our dreams! I know you're looking for something that will unleash that motivational power within you. You have this incredible potential trapped inside of you just begging to be let out but you just need some help to ignite that flame to make it happen. The hardest part about dealing with an overwhelming workload is trying to stop your mind from running in circles at 100 miles per hour. When you have a ton of work to do and so little time to do it, the pressure can cause you an incredible amount of stress. The key is to stop, think, prioritize and refocus in order to take action. Easier said than done, I know, but you must know that you have the power to do it. So do it. Most importantly remember to breathe! It will be ok and once your mind has cleared you will remember your "WHY". If you must, reset your goals, get a clear and attainable list in order and get to work. It will be tough, no one told us this venture was going to be easy, right? Isn't that why we got into online marketing though-to not make the easy money and continue to live a life of financial poverty and limited freedom. To not be at the beckoning call of some BOSS (Believers of Slaving Suckers)! Well, that was my why, to no longer be considered as replaceable or disposable, I knew my worth! I worked hard for others so it only made sense to work hard for myself. Don't you agree? Then jump to it-Don't quit-Stay motivated and believe in Your WHY! Until next time my friends keep pushing forward. All the Best

Stay at Home Moms-Staying Focused!

One of the most common emotions that we all feel while pursuing a worthy goal, and trying to obtain that goal with children home with us, is frustration. How do you go about dealing with frustration as a stay at home Mom & biz professional? Before I get into that, let me make sure we are on the same page in terms of the definition. Frustration is simply a feeling of being stuck or feeling overwhelmed. Either way, it's a situation that makes us feel like we don't have enough resources to move forward with our progress. Think about the last time you felt frustrated while working on obtaining a goal. Do you remember what exactly got you frustrated? Normally, what causes this feeling is when things don't work out as we planned. If you are feeling frustrated with your child while trying to get through a work day, the main reason is because they did something that did not meet your expectations. The same goes for your goals. We get frustrated when something is supposed to happen but it didn't. I'm sure you have felt this way many times in the past. Feeling as though there aren't enough hours in the day! So how do we go about dealing with frustration? We deal with it by picking our battles. If the thing that is causing you to feel frustrated is something that you can't change, such as needing to stop prospecting because it's naptime or lunchtime, then you should focus on that. If it's something that you can't change, because our duty is to be mom first, fretting about it won't do you any good. It's like the sports fan who gets frustrated when his team is losing even though he has no control over the outcome. Working from home, with children present, takes discipline on so many levels because we have projects that need to be handled, sales calls that can't wait and webinars that have to be presented or either attended! But, if you remember that your children are the reason that you decided to be a stay at home parent in the first place, I believe it will serve as an aid to alleviate your frustrations or overwhelming feelings. When you pursue any worthwhile goal, you will inevitably hit some road blocks every person does (parent or not). When this happens, it will be frustrating, but if you focus on solving the issue and getting past the setback instead of being paralyzed by it, you will be one step closer to obtaining your goal. Be Blessed and Happy Mother's Day! Lillie
